Show jumping is the number one equestrian sport in the United States

 

The goods and services revenue generated by the horse industry are valued at over $4.1 billion.

 

Annually, the horse industry has a direct economic effect on the U.S. of $39 billion

 

The horse industry provides the U.S. with 1.4 million jobs. The industry directly provides 54,000 full-time jobs. 

 

4.6 million Americans are involved in the industry as owners, service providers, employees and volunteers; tens of millions more participate as spectators

 

More than 311,000 Californians are involved in the equestrian industry as either horse owners, service providers, employees or volunteers. 

 

Grooming, Boarding and Training Industry generated more than $2.7 Billion in the US last year.

 

The Hunter/Jumper Industry is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 3% to reach $3.3 billion by 2020. 

 

IBIS World, market research data provider, estimates there are more than 13.3 million horses in the US

 

According to the American Horse Council, the horse industry has a $7 billion dollar impact on California's economy.

 

USEF reports 85% of horse enthusiasts are women, majority of which are between 35-54 years of age.
